Mission

Our mission is encourage and equip each other to live as if we are who we say we are.

Life on Fire 2014 is a gathering of those interested in deeply living out our faith and values commitments in our daily lives.  Rather than declare what it is we believe, our tribe is committed to making our lives examples of what it looks like to live out our deepest values on a daily basis. We are people who shift their faith lives both personally and in community by:

• being more concerned with people’s spiritual development than program development.
• living out our values in the world rather than trying to convince people to join our tribe.
• being more concerned with being a servant in the community than being a servant to organizational system dynamics.
• being more concerned with community organizing than organizing the church community.

There are lots of people in liberal and progressive faith communities of all kinds striving to live this way.  We hope to create a space where we can learn from and with each other about how to live lives of radical authenticity, radical welcome, committed spiritual practice and committed  service.  This gathering is open to those of any faith or no faith who seek to live more missionally. Life on Fire 2014 is a gathering of a tribe for the purposes of inspiring each other and our communities to such life.
